Member Biography

ARTIST STATEMENT

"My work conveys a marriage between realism and impressionism. My mediums are primarily transparent watercolor and oil. The mediums influence each other, causing some paintings to be more fluid and other paintings to have a thick, build-up of paint. I paint from my experiences, which include traveling and local scenes; whatever I see that I want to record in paint, and share with the viewer. I have been painting for over 30 years, yet each painting makes me feel like it's the first and last painting I'll ever paint! How blessed I am to still be at it."
