Member Biography

ARTIST STATEMENT

"I’ve always loved art but it wasn’t until I raised a family of three children that I was able to begin painting in earnest. Technically self-taught - first in watercolors and then in oils (which remains my medium of choice), I continue to experiment and learn and have been very fortunate to find many opportunities, awards and collectors along the way.

A wise old woman told me years ago, “Do you know how lucky you are to have this gift of painting? It will keep you happy and content your whole life!” I now realize how right she was!

I live on beautiful Whidbey Island where I have a small studio in my home."
