ARTIST BACKGROUNDCatherine Gill has lived and worked in the Pacific Northwest for 30 years. She paints on location in watercolor, oil, and pastel, and is also a printmaker. Catherine teaches painting and printmaking out of her studio in the Ballard area of Seattle, as well as throughout the United States, Europe, China and Australia. You can see her current list of workshops on her website. Her artwork and book on painting have been recently featured in a 9 page article in Watercolor Artist Magazine in December 2010. Catherine’s artwork has been exhibited regionally and throughout the world. Catherine is also co-founder of Art Partners International, an organization dedicated to bringing together artists and art of different cultures. She is a member of Northwest Watercolor Society, Women Painters of Washington, Plein Aire Painters of Washington, Seattle CoArts, Seattle Print Arts, Corvidae Press, and Print Arts NW.
