ARTIST
STATEMENT
"I work primarily in watercolor
and gouache, sometimes a combination. Shapes and color are what draw me
to a subject. I like focusing in, trying to achieve an intimacy and intensity
with the close-up view of garden, interior, still-life or figure. When choosing a subject, I am more excited by the abstract design possibilities than by the subject itself and that enthusiasm has recently carried me further into non-realism"
