ARTIST STATEMENT
"Most
of my work has a nautical theme. I attribute that to being an avid
diver and loving our underwater world. In many of my paintings
I try to recreate the splendor of the deep and its unrestrained
beauty. My other passion is our world’s historical and primitive
writings both in picture form and the derivative of different languages.
Gyotaku
(Japanese form of fish rubbing) has been my primary medium for
the past 17 years. I have now added encaustic and cast glass
sculpture and I find designing and producing Public
and Commercial
art works very exciting."
